WHAT: 2018 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships
WHEN: Saturday, November 17 - men's race at 10:30 a.m., women's race at 11:45 a.m.

WHO: A total of 78 cross country programs in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC)

PARKING INFORMATION:

Parking for teams & officials is onsite at Hayden Park.  Teams & officials will be directed to the Hayden Park driving range.  Team buses/charters will be directed to the parking area adjacent to the intramural fields at Hayden Park.  Spectator parking is located along Barber Drive and at the lower field area off Barber Drive; behind the Biermann Athletic Center. A shuttle will be available to transport spectators to the start/finish area of Hayden Park as needed.

Athletic Training Hours

Athletic trainers must be available on the course the duration of practices.

Thursday                     3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Friday                          12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Saturday                      8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

The training room is located on the lower level of the Roche Sports Complex. A training area also will be set up on the course. If you have any special needs, please contact Lynne Neukom (lneukom@hillsdale.edu; 517-607-3157).

TEAM CAMP INFORMATION:

Team camp areas will be located on the south and east portion of the intramural fields

PRACTICE DAY - FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16

12 p.m. - 5 p.m. course available for practice
2:45 - 4:15 p.m. packet pickup in Biermann Center mezzanine
4:30 p.m. mandatory coach's meeting in Biermann Center mezzanine

COMPETITION DAY - SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 17

8:30 a.m. - course open to competitors
9:10 a.m. - clerking procedures begin for men's race
10:10 a.m. - men's competitors called to starting line
10:15 a.m. - national anthem
10:20 a.m. - second call to start line for men
10:25 a.m. - start line cleared of all non-competitors
10:28 a.m. - starting line instructions issued
10:30 a.m. - start of men's 10K race

10:25 a.m. - clerking procedures begin for women's race
11:25 a.m. - women's competitors called to starting line
11:35 a.m. - second call to start line for women
11:40 a.m. - start line cleared of all non-competitors
11:43 a.m. - starting line instructions issued
11:45 a.m. - start of women's 6K race

Immediately after completion of women's race - awards presentation

NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATION DETAIL:

TEAMS
The top three teams from each regional meet will automatically advance to the championship finals (24 teams total).
Ten (10) at-large teams will be selected by the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Cross Country Committee using the selection criteria found here. There is no limit to the number of at-large teams that may be selected from any given region.

INDIVIDUALS
The top two individuals who are not part of a qualifying team will automatically advance to the championship finals (16 individuals total).
All individuals who finish in the top five at the regional meet and are not part of a qualifying team will automatically advance to the championships finals.
The next eight individuals will be selected at-large.

The team and individual winning the regional will be recognized and presented with an NCAA trophy.
