Chargers' Adi Sysum named G-MAC North Division Volleyball Player of the Week (Nov. 3-10)

Thanks to a big performance in one of the Hillsdale College volleyball team's most important matches of the 2025 season, Adi Sysum is receiving weekly conference honors for the second time this campaign.

Sysum was named the G-MAC North Division Volleyball Player of the Week by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The senior from Eaton Rapids, Michigan had one of the best matches of her career at one of the best possible times on Friday night, hitting .481 with a career-high 16 kills and seven total blocks as Hillsdale stunned G-MAC co-leader Walsh in five sets on their home floor. Sysum followed that up with a solid performance in a sweep of Malone on Saturday, finishing with seven more kills on senior day.

Sysum has become a vital player for the Chargers as a senior, leading Hillsdale in kills per set (2.45) and ranking second and in the top 10 in the G-MAC in blocks per set (0.83). Her .380 hitting percentage also ranks second in the G-MAC and would rank fifth all-time in Hillsdale College history for a single season if maintained through the end of the 2025 campaign.

The win over Walsh keeps Hillsdale's hopes of hosting a quarterfinal match in the upcoming G-MAC Tournament alive, but the Chargers will need to win out in the final weekend of the season to have a shot. The Chargers travel to Tiffin on Friday and G-MAC co-leader Findlay on Saturday to wrap up the 2025 regular season.
