Chargers add seven for next spring in 2026 signing class

College softball season is just a month away, with the Hillsdale College softball team excited for what should be another strong campaign.

As Hillsdale prepares for the upcoming season, it also has worked to secure its long-term future by signing seven players to letters of intent for the 2027 campaign. These seven players have all had illustrious high school careers and add depth and talent to nearly every position on the roster.

Keira Brogan (Salem, OH/South Range) comes to Hillsdale as a middle infielder who's made a huge impact for one of the top small school programs in the state of Ohio. At South Range, she helped lead the Raiders to back-to-back state semifinal appearances in 2023 and 2024, including an OHSAA D3 runner-up finish as a sophomore in 2024. After missing much of last season due to an injury, she'll be back on the diamond this spring looking to get South Range to the mountaintop before heading north for her collegiate career.

A two-time All-Conference and All-District player for the Raiders, Brogan hit .412 as a freshman and .508 with 33 RBIs as a sophomore, while also stealing a total of 24 bases on 26 attempts in those seasons. Brogan also plays travel softball for FP Select 18U and is a strong student with membership in the South Range National Honor Society.

Sophia Chouinard (Scottsdale, AZ/Saguaro) is a talented outfielder who played a role in back-to-back state quarterfinal appearances in the Arizona 4A playoffs for the Sabercats while earning first-team All-Region and team MVP honors. A speedy and talented player, Chouinard has hit .445 for her high school career, including .592 as a junior table-setter for Saguaro, with a 1.395 OPS and 26 stolen bases.

A team captain back-to-back seasons for Saguaro, Chouinard also has excelled on the travel ball circuit for AZ Storm Mendez, placing 17th in the Premier Division at PGF Nationals this past summer. Chouinard also is a top-notch student, earning the AP Scholar distinction and recognition from the College Board, as well as membership in the National Honor Society.

Morgan Hoverman (Perrysburg, OH/Perrysburg) is a versatile player with potential to slot in all over the diamond for the Chargers who's helped lead Perrysburg to back-to-back regional final appearances in the highest division of Ohio high school softball. A stellar hitter who's batted .430 or better with an OBP of .510 or better all three seasons of high school so far with 12 or more stolen bases in all three seasons, Hoverman has made the All-NLL team three straight seasons and was ranked 46th among prospects in the state of Ohio for 2026 by Extra Inning.

The younger sister of Hannah Hoverman, a four-year letterwinner and All-G-MAC player at Hillsdale, Morgan also has stood out on the travel ball scene for Finesse Dreher and has been a strong student at Perrysburg throughout her high school career, consistently making the high honor roll list every semester.

Hadley Krasulak (Stuart, Florida/Oxbridge Academy of the Palm Beaches) is an intriguing prospect at the infield corners who comes to Hillsdale from the Sunshine State. She's helped the ThunderWolves make deep tourney runs in the 2A state playoffs in Florida each of the past three seasons, including a state semifinal appearance in 2023. A four-year varsity starter and two-year captain at Oxbridge, Krasulak has hit .416 in high school and flashed an impressive glove with a .989 fielding percentage.

Along with her high school accomplishments, Krasulak also has stood out on the travel ball scene for the Tampa Mustangs, and assembled an impressive academic resume in high school, including serving as the secretary for the National and French National Honor Societies at her school and earning a Cambridge Scholar distinction in 2025. She also was named a Pathfinder Finalist for Literature and will receive the award this spring.

Giuliana Magnetti (Broomfield, CO/Holy Family) has been a standout outfielder for one of the top high school programs in the state of Colorado, leading the Tigers to four straight CHSAA 4A Final Four appearances, including runner-up honors in 2022 and a state championship this past fall. A first team all-state player in Colorado in 2024 and a two-time All-Conference honoree, Magnetti hit .409 for Holy Family with 65 RBIs and 62 stolen bases in four impressive seasons.

A talented athlete, Magnetti also played lacrosse and track and field for Holy Family, as well as club volleyball, playing libero for the Colorado Roughriders. She also excelled on the travel ball circuit for the Colorado Angels, with impressive showings in both the Scenic City Fall Showcase and the Patriot Games. Magnetti also has a strong academic resume, including three first team Academic All-State honors in softball and recognition from the College Board.

Zosia Mazur (Saline, MI/Saline) is a standout pitching prospect from nearby Saline, just an hour and 10 minutes east of Hillsdale College. Mazur has excelled for three seasons as part of a pitching staff that includes multiple future college players and delivered the Hornets the program's first-ever MHSAA state title last spring. Mazur has thrown 129.5 innings for Saline entering this spring with 256 strikeouts and a .108 batting average against, earning All-District and Academic All-State honors as a junior.

Mazur also bats .353 for Saline with a .473 on-base percentage and has excelled on the travel ball circuit for Level Up Fastpitch as well. A strong student, Mazur has made the Gold Honor Roll at Saline all four years of high school and is on track to graduate with honors this spring.

Kendra Waldron (Defiance, OH/Ayersville) is another strong pitcher hailing from a nearby location, as Defiance is also just an hour and 10 minutes south of the Hillsdale College campus across the Ohio border. Playing for Ayersville, Waldron led the Pilots to Sectional and District titles in the OHSAA D7 Tournament in 2025, earning first team All-Ohio honors as well as GMC Conference and Crescent News Player of the Year honors. For her career, she's struck out 600 batters, including a school-record 282 in 2025 while posting a 1.124 ERA. As a hitter, Waldron batted .418 in 2025 and has 15 career home runs for Ayersville.

A well-rounded athlete, Waldron also played four years of varsity volleyball and basketball for the Pilots and has excelled in travel ball with Stingerzz Softball. A strong student, Waldron has been on the honor roll at Ayersville all four years of high school, served as her class vice president the last two years, and earned membership in the National Honor Society.
