Biography

2022: Continued to grow his role with the Chargers on both special teams and as a reserve defensive back, appearing in seven games...earned the Big Stick award from the Chargers for the game against Walsh after a game-changing strip sack in the fourth quarter of a 35-17 win over the Cavaliers at home (Sept. 10)...finished the season with five total tackles...expected to play a bigger role for the Chargers in 2023.

2021: Played an increased role on special teams for the Chargers, appearing in five contests...expected to contend for additional playing time in the fall of 2022.

2020-21: Appeared for the Chargers in one game against Walsh, playing on special teams.

High School: Three-year varsity player at Copley High School in Ohio…voted team captain as a senior and won the Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award…finished his high school career with 84 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble…also a standout in track and field for the Indians, qualifying for regionals four times and winning six Suburban-American Conference titles in sprint events…member of the National Honor Society, Class President and carried a 4.0 GPA through high school…parents are Derrick and Karen Ransom.
