Although it's been reconstructed several times to match the needs of the era, the site of the current Dawn Tibbetts Potter Arena has been the home of Hillsdale College basketball for over 90 years, and of Charger volleyball since the program's inception. The original field house was completed in 1927, and 20 years later went through an extensive expansion and renovation that was generously supported by alumnus Harold F. Stock, whose name was added to the building in 1952. In 1988, the field house was given another massive overhaul and expansion as part of the construction of the Roche Sports Complex, with the addition of an indoor track and multiple practice courts to the newly christened Jesse Phillips Arena. That facility lasted until 2014, when construction was completed on the current arena, which was re-named the Dawn Tibbetts Potter Arena. Along with the main court, the current facility includes two full-size wood practice courts, seating for 2,500 spectators, a center-hung scoreboard that can be seen from all angles, an additional video board and President's Club seating.
