Chargers earn CSCAA Team Scholar All-American honor for 19th-straight season

In the pool and in the classroom, the Hillsdale College women's swimming and diving team have a long-standing commitment to excellence.

The 2025-26 edition is no different, as Hillsdale's academic prowess has helped the Chargers add to a lengthy streak of awards earlier this week.

On Tuesday, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced that the Charger women's swimming and diving team has been selected as a Scholar All-America Team for the 19th consecutive year. The Chargers are one of 66 Division II women's swimming teams to earn this honor, and one of 709 men's and women's swimming and diving programs representing 414 institutions across all collegiate divisions.

In order to earn the Scholar All-America Team distinction, a team must carry a 3.0 or higher average GPA for the most recent semester, a bar the Chargers easily exceeded with a total team GPA of 3.40. The Chargers have earned this honor every single season of head coach Kurt Kirner's 19 year tenure, an accomplishment the program takes great pride in, and that continues to set the bar high for future Hillsdale women's swimming and diving teams.

Hillsdale next competes in a double-dual on Saturday, Jan. 24 against host Malone and Fairmont State in Canton, Ohio, and will return to Canton and the C.T. Branin Natatorium on Feb. 10 for the 2026 G-MAC/MEC Championships. Hillsdale has placed first or second in every G-MAC/MEC Championship meet dating back to 2018, and will be looking for more success and accolades in this year's edition.
