Establishing an endowment within the Athletic Department creates a powerful and lasting way to support the Chargers. Because Hillsdale College accepts no federal or state taxpayer funding, endowments alleviate the burden on the department’s annual operating budget by freeing up money that would otherwise be spent on scholarships and maintenance. Endowed scholarships are especially important in helping Hillsdale remain competitive and attract bright, talented student-athletes.
