Danielle L'Argent

The 2022 season will be Danielle L'Argent's fourth in the role of assistant softball coach at Hillsdale College. In three seasons with the Chargers, L'Argent has helped guide Hillsdale to the 2019 G-MAC Tournament title, two NCAA Division II tournament appearances, and a third-place finish in the Midwest Region in 2021, as well as helping the Chargers set records in 2021 for the number of All-Conference and All-Region honorees in a single year. That impressive run is just the latest accomplishment in a long line of them during L'Argent's career as a coach.

As an assistant at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon, L’Argent helped the Cavaliers transition from NAIA status to NCAA Division II in 2015. In their first season in the NCAA, the Cavs won 32 games and placed second in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference regular season standings. In her two seasons with Concordia, L’Argent helped the Cavs place multiple athletes on the All-GNAC team, All-GNAC Academic Team, and Easton/NFCA Scholar Athlete team, and also helped Concordia's Meghan Luebbert earn GNAC Player of the Year honors in 2016, and a spot on the 2017 NFCA All-American team.

During the fall of 2016 L’Argent was named the interim head coach of the the Cavalier softball program, and guided Concordia through a coaching transition.

Before her time at Concordia, L’Argent was an Assistant Varsity Coach at Clovis West High School in Fresno, CA for one season and coached for the Fresno Force for three seasons prior to that.

The Clovis, CA native was a three-year starter at Chadron State College where she was named to the All-Nebraska team in 2012.

L’Argent received her Undergraduate degree in Sports and Recreational Management from Chadron State College in 2014. She earned her masters degree in teaching with a concentration in secondary education from Concordia University 3 years later.
