Biography

2024: Continued to grow as a hitter in her second season as a starter, splitting time between catcher and designated player and appearing in all 48 games for the Chargers...a strong defensive catcher who posted a .990 or better fielding percentage for the second-straight season with four runners caught stealing...her eight home runs on the season were second on the team and in the top 10 all-time in Hillsdale history for a single season, and her .286 average and .379 OBP were both career highs...hit a home run in both games of a doubleheader split at Wheeling on Feb. 11...went 3 for 5 with a double, a home run and 3 RBIs in a dominant win at Illinois-Springfield (March 2)...3 for 3 at the plate with two doubles, a home run and five RBIs in a home win over Thomas More (Apr. 7)...went 3 for 4 with a double, a home run and four RBIs in a critical late season win at Ohio Dominican (Apr. 14)...veteran leader who will be counted on in 2025.

2023: Catcher and designated player for the Chargers who had a breakout season in G-MAC play, earning third-team All-G-MAC honors and helping Hillsdale to a runner-up regular season finish and G-MAC Tourney title while playing in 47 of 56 games...hit .367 in 22 conference games with eight doubles, three home runs and a team best 15 RBIs...tied for the team lead in home runs with four on the season....hit a solo home run in Hillsdale's 5-1 win over Georgia Southwestern on Feb. 26...had a huge day in Hillsdale's doubleheader sweep of Ashland on March 25, going 4 for 7 at the plate with a double, two home runs and five RBIs in two victories...hit a RBI single to score the go-ahead run in the fourth inning of Hillsdale's G-MAC Tournament title clinching win over Findlay (May 6)...named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for 2023 for her academic achievements.

2022: Battled illness but showed promise in a limited role in her first season, appearing in 13 games...recorded her first career hit with a walk off home run in extra innings in a 4-3 win over New Haven (March 15) during Hillsdale's Florida trip...added a second home run just two days later to help Hillsdale beat Caldwell, 6-5 on March 17...hit .227 for the season with a .500 slugging percentage...will compete for a starting job in 2023.

High School: Four-year varsity member and three year starter for a Perrysburg (OH) squad that reached the OHSAA Division I state semifinals during her freshman season in 2018...helped lead the Yellow Jackets to two district titles and a Northern Lake League championship in her first two years on the varsity, and helped Perrysburg return to the district finals in 2021...named to the All-Northern Lakes League and All-District teams as a senior...played travel softball with the Ohio Hawks, Lasers Gold and Finesse 18U National...National Honor Society member who was on the high honor roll every semester of high school and graduated in the top 10 percent of her class...volunteers with Bittersweet Farms, helping teenagers with autism, and also with the Boys and Girls Club of America...parents are Matthew and Karla Hoverman.
