High School: Power-hitting prospect who's the latest Charger recruit from the softball hotbed of Texas, Hayward has come up as part of a dynastic program from the area north of Houston...a part of three state championship teams, including starting for the Lions during an undefeated run to the UIL 5A D2 title as a senior in 2025, and part of the team during back-to-back UIL 5A state championships in 2022 and 2023 as a freshman and sophomore, teams that finished the season ranked No. 1 in the nation at the high school level...reached the final eight in the state playoffs during her junior year in 2024, the only year Lake Creek didn't win the crown in Texas...the designated player for the Lions and had two RBIs in Lake Creek's state title win over Hallsville in 2025...also played well in travel ball for Texas Bombers Gold National... strong student who graduated with honors and is a member of her high school's National Honor Society, while also participating actively in the National Charity League and volunteering with the Special Olympics...parents are Mark and Jennifer Hayward.
