Kylie Gross returned to Hillsdale in 2026 for her second tenure on the Chargers coaching staff, this time as the program's Associate Head Coach, looking to help lead the Chargers to even greater success.
Gross previously worked for the Chargers as an assistant coach for two seasons under her father, head coach Kyle Gross, in 2020 and 2021. During that time, Hillsdale College reached the NCAA DII Tournament in 2021, winning 33 games, the most by a Chargers team in 30 years, and winning multiple NCAA Tournament games for the first time in program history.  Along the way, Gross helped develop pitcher Dana Weidinger into an All-G-MAC and All-Region pitcher in the 2021 season.
She parlayed her success into an assistant coaching job at Kent State University, where she spent two seasons under then-head coach Eric Oakley coaching in the Mid-American Conference at the Division I level. Most recently, Gross was an Assistant Coach for the National Team at the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, helping build IMG's softball program from the ground up and directly working with the team each of the past two seasons. While in Florida, she also played professional softball for the Florida Breeze in the Professional Softball League (PSL).
Gross got her start in softball coaching as a graduate assistant at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota in the 2018-19 season, following a three-and-a-half year Division I softball career at the University of Toledo from 2015 to 2018.
Gross started 59 games across three seasons and filled a variety of roles for the Rockets, starting ably in the outfield, finishing her career with seven doubles and two home runs at the plate, and making an impact on the basepaths, stealing 10 bases during her time at Toledo.
She also was a standout in the classroom at Toledo, twice making the Academic All-Mid-American Conference team in her three full seasons as a Rocket, and graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Toledo in December 2017, with a focus on marketing and supply chain management. During her year at Black Hills State, Gross also completed a Master's of Science in Strategic Leadership.
