A Hillsdale County native, Trey Follis is making use of his knowledge of the area and his experience to help build relationships for the Hillsdale College athletic department as its Athletic Corporate Partnerships Manager.
Follis got his start at Hillsdale College as a marketing and communications intern for the 2024-25 school year, gaining valuable experience as he finished up his undergraduate degree at Spring Arbor University. His success in that role made him an excellent fit to join the department full time at the conclusion of his internship.
A sports management major and psychology minor at Spring Arbor who graduated with a bachelor's degree in the spring of 2025, Follis was a member of the Cougars varsity men's basketball team for four seasons, and helped Spring Arbor snap a four-year conference tournament drought with a Crossroads League Tourney appearance as a senior in 2023-24. He also worked as a part of Spring Arbor's Fieldhouse Management team throughout his time in college.
Follis went to Spring Arbor from Camden-Frontier High School in Hillsdale County, about 15 miles southwest of Hillsdale College. He starred in basketball at Camden-Frontier and also played baseball and track and field.
