Box Score

The Charger women's basketball team lost back-to-back games for the first time this season thanks to a 93-79 loss to the University of Findlay Saturday afternoon at the Dawn Tibbetts Potter Arena.

The Chargers completed the South Division end of their schedule at 4-4 in the GLIAC, while standing at 8-4 overall. The team hits the road next week taking on Northwood Thursday, then Lake Superior State Saturday.

The Oilers were cooking from the perimeter, shooting 12-for-22 from 3-point land. The team shot virtually the same percentage overall from the floor and from behind the 3-point stripe (54 percent), using excellent spacing and ball movement to penetrate Hillsdale's defense throughout the game.

The Chargers didn't play a poor offensive game themselves. Five players scored in double figures, and the team had 18 assists on 32 made field goals. Hillsdale also held a 45-34 edge on the boards, but it wasn't enough to counter Findlay's impressive effectiveness in the game.

A bright spot for the Chargers was the growth and production of sophomore guard Morgan Blair, who set a new career-high in scoring for an incredible fifth game in a row. She led all players with 20 points, hitting four 3-point baskets and all four of her free throws. She also had 6 rebounds, 5 assists and just one turnover in 32 minutes where she played with poise and confidence.

Senior forward Megan Fogt went 14-for-15 from the field against Findlay in the last meeting between the Chargers and Oilers, and nearly matched that performance Saturday. Fogt was 9-for-10 from the floor and had 18 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocked shots.

Senior Kadie Lowery had 11 points and 4 assists, while freshmen Allie Dittmer and Michele Boykin each had 10.
