Redshirt-freshman guard Nate Neveau recorded his first career double double as the Hillsdale College men's basketball team breezed to a 99-57 win over visiting Lawrence Tech University Saturday afternoon at Dawn Tibbetts Potter Arena.

The Chargers head into a two-week holiday break with an overall record of 6-2.

Neveau, making his first collegiate start, finished with 11 points and 10 assists, and appeared to run the offense with the savvy of a veteran. He was able to set up the Hillsdale shooters in their prime scoring positions, as shown by the team's season-best .621 shooting percentage from the floor.

Senior center Jason Pretzer, who has played at an all-conference level throughout the season, fell one point shy of his career-high, leading all scorers with 22 points on 8-for-10 shooting from the floor. He drained four 3-point baskets in the win.

Senior Kyle Cooper added 20 points, going 8-for-12, with 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Sophomore guard Stedman Lowry tacked on 18 points, matching Pretzer's total of four 3-point baskets from beyond the arc.

The Chargers forced 15 Blue Devil turnovers, while coughing the ball up just six times themselves. Hillsdale generated 26 assists on its 36 made baskets.

UP NEXT: Hillsdale resumes GLIAC play on Saturday, Jan. 2 with a home game against Walsh.
