As a program with a lot of history, there are many streaks and milestones the Hillsdale College men's and women's cross country teams have accumulated over the years.
One of the most important is earning All-Academic honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, as it reflects the Chargers' success not just on the cross country course, but in the classroom for a given year. Thankfully, that's a streak that's still intact and growing, as both squads earned the Team All-Academic distinction from the USTFCCCA for the 13th straight season based on their performance in 2025. In addition to both teams being recognized, Hillsdale also had three men and two women earn All-Academic distinction individually.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top 30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.Â
To receive All-Academic distinction as a team, programs must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.
Both teams easily met the GPA threshold to earn recognition, with the men posting a 3.61 cumulative GPAÂ as of the end of the 2025 fall semester, and the women finishing with a 3.37 cumulative GPA.
For the men, senior
Gabriel Phillips, an All-Midwest Region honoree, received the USTFCCCA All-Academic distinction for the second straight year. He was joined in receiving the honor by senior
Nathaniel Osborne and junior
Caleb Youngstedt, who both received the distinction for the first time in their career.
On the women's side, sophomore and 2025 All-American
Allison Kuzma was a repeat USTFCCCA All-Academic honoree as well, and she was joined in earning the honor by junior
Eleanor Clark, who received the distinction for the first time.
Both teams placed 11th in the 2025 NCAA DII Midwest Regional in November in Kenosha, Wisconsin, with Phillips and Kuzma each earning All-Region honors.Â
