Hillsdale College football fans will have an unprecedented number of chances to catch their Chargers at home this fall.

For the first time in the 134-year history of Hillsdale College football, the Chargers have seven regular season home contests on the schedule, including three home games in the month of September and a stretch of three straight home contests in mid-October. Hillsdale will kick off the 2026 season with back-to-back home non-conference games. GLVC squad McKendree comes to Hillsdale on Sept. 5 for the return contest after the Chargers defeated the Bearcats 22-17 on the road in 2025. Then, on Sept. 12, Hillsdale renews a rivalry with in-state foe Wayne State from the GLIAC that's been dormant since 2016. It will be the 61st meeting between the Chargers and Warriors, and Wayne State is one of Hillsdale's oldest foes, with the two programs first meeting on the gridiron in 1909. Hillsdale holds a 39-20-1 edge in a series between the two teams that once shared a conference for over four decades.

The Chargers' conference home slate includes multiple G-MAC powers and rivals coming to Frank "Muddy" Waters Stadium in 2026. Hillsdale will host both teams that shared the 2025 G-MAC title -- rivals Findlay on Oct. 17 and Ashland on Nov. 7, battling the Eagles in the annual Traveling Trophy game. The Chargers also welcome perennial G-MAC title contender Tiffin to Hillsdale on Oct. 24, along with home games against Thomas More on Sept. 26 and Walsh on Oct. 10. The contest against Walsh on Oct. 10 will be Hillsdale's annual Homecoming game, while the Oct. 24 tilt against Tiffin will happen over Parents' Weekend at Hillsdale College. 

Hillsdale will play four games on the road, starting with a showdown against in-state rival Northwood for the Riepma Cup on Sept. 19, kicking off the Chargers' conference slate. Hillsdale also makes trips to Lake Erie on Oct. 3, Kentucky Wesleyan on Oct. 31 and Ohio Dominican on Nov. 14 to finish off the season.
