The Hillsdale College softball team is on pace for a historic power season at the plate in 2026, and sophomore
Nathalie Hagle is playing a big part in it in her first season with the Chargers.
Hagle, who transferred to Hillsdale from Miami (OH) last summer, was named the G-MAC Softball Player of the Week on Monday afternoon by the conference office. It's her first collegiate weekly conference honor, and the second of the season for the Chargers.
The Commerce Township, Michigan native went off for Hillsdale in two doubleheaders this past week, hitting .429 with two doubles, three home runs and 10 RBIs as Hillsdale swept past both Northwood and Ursuline to remain undefeated in G-MAC play. Hagle was instrumental in the Chargers' sweep of the Timberwolves last Wednesday, as her two-run home run was critical in an 11-10 extra-inning victory in the first game, and two more homers in her first two at-bats in the second game helped the Chargers run away for the sweep.Â
While it didn't count for this weekend's award, Hagle stayed hot on Monday in a sweep of Cedarville, batting .667 with another home run and three more RBIs. She leads the G-MAC in RBIs with 33 so far, and is ranked in the top five in the G-MAC in slugging percentage, OPS, runs scored, hits, doubles, and home runs.
The sophomore and Hillsdale will look to stay hot with two big doubleheaders this weekend on the road at conference contenders Tiffin on Thursday and Findlay on Friday.
