Four Chargers earn 2026 CSC Academic All-District honors for Women's Swimming and Diving

2025-26 CSC NCAA DII Women's Swimming and Diving Academic All-District Teams

Another strong year in the pool for the Hillsdale College women's swimming and diving team was matched by an outstanding season in the classroom as well.

Hillsdale had the maximum of four honorees received Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators on Tuesday afternoon, as all four met the high standards set for performance in the pool and in the classroom to receive the honor.  In order to be considered for CSC Academic All-District honors, an athlete must compete in at least five meets or place in the top eight of a conference championship, and carry a 3.5 or better cumulative GPA.

Hillsdale's four honorees included junior Isabel Ondracek, who received the distinction for the second straight season, as well as three first-time honorees. Juniors Alyson Early and Inez McNichols both earned the honor, as did sophomore Ella Schafer.

Early had a solid campaign that included three top-eight finishes at the 2026 G-MAC/MEC Championships, highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the 200 individual medley. McNichols also was a three-time placer for the Chargers at the G-MAC/MEC Championships, with a best finish of fourth in the 200 butterfly, while Ondracek was top eight in all four events she competed in at the G-MAC/MEC Championship, with a top finish of fifth in the 1,650 freestyle.

Schafer swam the maximum of seven events for the Chargers at the 2026 G-MAC/MEC Championships, swimming legs on four relays that all placed third or better, and placed third in three individual events, including the 200 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 200 IM. Schafer also hit a NCAA DII B-cut in the 200 freestyle during the season, and holds the Hillsdale school record in the event.

All four athletes contributed heavily to Hillsdale's runner-up finish at the 2026 G-MAC/MEC Championships, the program's eighth-straight top two conference finish, and also to the team earning CSCAA Scholar-All-American honors for the 19th straight season this winter.
