2025-26 CSC Women's Track and Field/Cross Country All-America Teams

As Allison Kuzma turns the page on an excellent 2025-26 campaign and looks ahead to 2026-27, she's earned one more honor for her performance this past school year.

Kuzma was named a second team Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators in a release on Wednesday, recognizing her stellar performance in competition and in the classroom for the Chargers in 2025-26.

The sophomore was one of just 03 of the top NCAA DII women's track and field athletes across the country to earn first or second team Academic All-American honors from CSC, and is the 32nd Hillsdale College athlete to earn Academic All-American honors through CSC over the history of the award, as well as the seventh Hillsdale College track and field athlete to receive the honor, joining John Dorsch (1997), Sara Petta (1997), Emily Oren (2016), Maryssa Depies (2021), Liz Wamsley (2024) and Ben Haas (2025, 2026).

CSC has been running the Academic All-America program since 1952, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom in an award where athletes are nominated by their school's Sports Information Directors and are voted on by SIDs from around the country. In order to be eligible for the honor, athletes must carry a minimum GPA of 3.5 and have achieved significant athletic accomplishments over the course of the previous season.

Kuzma had a stellar 2025-26 across all three seasons. She was a two-time national champion for the Chargers, capturing her first at the 2026 NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field Championships at Virginia Beach in March in the 5,000m run, with a G-MAC and Hillsdale record setting time of 15:58.57 that makes her the 11th fastest in that race in NCAA DII history. 

The sophomore proved that title wasn't a fluke at the 2026 NCAA DII Outdoor Championships in May, as she dominated the field and ran away with the national crown in the 10,000m run in 33:43.47, setting a facility record at Emporia State in the process. Earlier in the outdoor season, Kuzma had already broken the G-MAC and Hillsdale records with the 16th-fastest time in NCAA DII history in the 10K with a time of 33:10.83 at the Stanford Invitational.

The epic campaign started with a strong cross country season in the fall of 2025. During that season, Kuzma won the G-MAC Cross Country crown, was runner-up in the NCAA DII Midwest Regional, and earned All-American honors with a 13th-place finish at the NCAA DII XC Championships in November. 

She's also was a standout in the classroom, earning both USTFCCCA and G-MAC academic honors as well as her recognition from CSC, and is on track to graduate with honors halfway through her time in college.

In just two seasons at Hillsdale, Kuzma is on an impressive pace, with four NCAA DII All-American honors along with the two NCAA DII national titles won in 2025-26. She holds the G-MAC and Hillsdale records in the indoor 5K and outdoor 10K, and has won seven G-MAC titles across the cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field seasons. With two more years of eligibility, she should continue to be an elite competitor for the Chargers in every season and add more accolades in the years to come.
