The Hillsdale College athletic department added a new but familiar face to its administrative team earlier this summer with the hiring of
Christian Peck-Dimit as the Chargers' new Marketing and Game Day Experience Manager.
Peck-Dimit, who started in the role in July, takes charge of marketing outreach for Hillsdale College athletics, while also managing the game day experience at all Hillsdale College sporting events, including promotions and in-game entertainment.
He comes to Hillsdale from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in southern Texas, where he spent two years as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications for the Javelinas. In that role, Peck-Dimit was the primary media contact, graphic designer, photographer and social media manager for seven TAMUK athletic programs, served as the play-by-play commentator for five teams, and also was responsible for internal and external communications efforts for the Javelinas athletic department and the upkeep of the program's official website, javelinaathletics.com. As part of his job in Kingsville, Peck-Dimit was in charge of game day operations for the seven TAMUK athletic programs he oversaw, gaining valuable experience in sports marketing, promotions and game-day entertainment.
It's a return home in many ways for Peck-Dimit, a native Michigander who attended Hillsdale College as an undergraduate and graduated with honors in 2023, with a major in history and a minor in journalism.
While at Hillsdale, Peck-Dimit served as the Sports Editor of the Hillsdale Collegian for the 2021-22 school year, and also worked with the Hillsdale College Athletic Department, Radio Free Hillsdale and WCSR as a play-by-play broadcaster covering multiple Chargers sports teams.
After graduation, Peck-Dimit spent a year working as the Sports Director at Northwest Kansas Radio in Colby, Kansas, before taking the job in Kingsville and moving into college sports.Â
