2026: One of the breakout stars for the Chargers, breaking into the starting rotation and starting 11 games, with four victories and the second-best ERA on the team among regular starters (4.29)...earned his first collegiate win in relief against Lincoln Memorial, striking out six in three and two-thirds scoreless innings...struck out a team-high 10 batters against Missouri-St. Louis on March 7...pitched a two-hitter with eight scoreless innings and four strikeouts in a shutout win over Ohio Dominican (March 27), earning G-MAC Pitcher of the Week honors for his performance...went eight innings and held Northwood to two runs in a G-MAC Tournament victory for the Chargers on May 7...strong student who earned CSC Academic All-District honors for his work in the classroom in 2026...enters year three with momentum and should be a major factor for the Chargers in 2027.

2025: Appeared in seven games on the mound as a true freshman for Hillsdale, with one start...three scoreless outings, and had two strikeouts in an inning of work against Ohio Dominican on March 23.

High School: Stellar left-handed pitching prospect with two-way potential who comes to Hillsdale after helping lead the Indians to the IHSAA Class 4A state title earlier this spring, scoring the championship-clinching run in extra innings...helped Lake Central win three sectional and two regional titles in addition to the state championship in 2024, playing every day at first base while also pitching for the Indians...starred in travel ball with the Cangelosi Sparks...graduated with honors from Lake Central this past spring, and was a member of the Lake Central National Honor Society...parents are Mark and Amy Smith.
