Ben Jungbluth

  • Title
    Assistant Baseball Coach
Ben Jungbluth joined the coaching staff of the Hillsdale College baseball team in advance of the 2025 season as an assistant coach, and is entering his second season on the staff this fall. A Northern California native, Jungbluth comes to Hillsdale with experience at multiple levels of collegiate baseball, including time at the NCAA Division I level.

Jungbluth comes to Hillsdale most recently from The Ohio State University, where he earned his Master's degree in Sports Coaching and also worked with the 2024 Buckeyes baseball team as a student manager, helping to assist the coaching staff at Ohio State in on-field and off-field capacities as the Buckeyes made a run to their first Big Ten Tournament since 2019.

His time at Ohio State came on the heels of a four-year collegiate playing career at the JuCo and NCAA DII levels in California. A native of Orinda, California and a graduate of Miramonte High School, Jungbluth spent three seasons playing at Contra Costa College, a junior college in San Pablo, California, as a catcher. His success with the Comets earned him an opportunity to join the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds, a NCAA Division II program playing in the PacWest Conference. In two seasons with Fresno Pacific, Jungbluth made 18 starts and posted a perfect fielding percentage behind the plate as a senior, while helping the Sunbirds to back-to-back winning seasons and a PacWest Conference Tournament appearance in 2023.

Jungbluth graduated from Fresno Pacific in 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, as well as the Master's degree he completed in 2024 at Ohio State.
