2023: Blossomed into a starter in the second half of the season in his first extended collegiate action, appearing in 11 games with seven starts and posting a 3-3 record in 2023...4.56 ERA was second best on the team among regular starters for Hillsdale, and Skees finished the season with 27 strikeouts...picked up a win for the Chargers in his first collegiate start, going five innings in a 10-3 win over Tiffin while striking out two and giving up just one earned run...struck out a career-high eight batters to pick up the win against Lake Erie on April 18...also earned a victory against Ashland on May 6, pitching five innings...slated to be a key part of Hillsdale's rotation in the 2024 season.

2022: Did not appear in game action.

2021: Made two appearances as a reliever for the Chargers, pitching 1.2 innings...recorded his first career strikeout against Cedarville on May 1.
