2023: Battled injuries to make nine appearances for the Chargers as a starter and reliever in 2023...earned the win in three straight appearances late in the season after returning from injury, pitching two and two-thirds innings of relief with three strikeouts in a 10-9 win over Walsh on April 24, going six innings as the starter in an 11-4 win over Malone on April 30, and pitching four innings as the starter with five strikeouts in an 8-5 win over Ashland to clinch a top four G-MAC finish on May 6...will be an important player for the Chargers in 2024 with better health.
2022: Returned to the mound after a long injury-related absence at midseason and settled into the Chargers' rotation, making six starts with a 2-2 record and 14 strikeouts in 20.1 innings pitched...earned his first victory in over a year in a 16-6 win over Lake Erie (April 15), striking out two and walking two in six innings of work...made his best appearance of the season in a start against Malone (May 7), going five innings to earn the win with four strikeouts, two walks and just one earned run conceded...should continue to improve with a full healthy offseason and be a big part of Hillsdale's plans in 2023.
2021: Had a promising sophomore year as one of the Chargers' starting pitchers derailed by injury after just two appearances...shined in a 4-2 victory over Maryville (Feb. 28) for his first career win as a starter, going five innings, striking out six, walking two and giving up two hits and no runs...should be a key part of Hillsdale's pitching rotation in 2022 as he works his way back to health.
2020: Appeared in five games as a relief pitcher for the Chargers during the Covid-19-shortened season, striking out nine and walking five in five and two-thirds innings of work...earned his first collegiate victory in relief in the second game of a doubleheader against Wisconsin Parkside (March 11)....retains his freshman status due to the NCAA ruling on spring sports athletes affected by Covid-19 and has four years of eligibility remaining starting in 2021.
High School: Standout pitcher for Carmel High School in Indiana...was a varsity letterwinner for three years with his best work coming as a junior, pitching 76 innings with an ERA of 2.41, 86 strikeouts and 28 walks, and adding a .310 batting average with 52 stolen bases...played travel baseball with the Indiana Prospects...earned Academic All-State honors in 2018, as well as Academic All-Metropolitan Conference in 2016 and 2017...born June 10, 2000...parents are Sean and Kathy Olssen.
