High School: Hard-hitting catcher with upside from Jefferson High School in Delphos, Ohio...earned All-Conference and All-District honors in both his junior and senior seasons while leading the Widlcats, and finishes his high school career with a batting average of .342, including 12 doubles, 10 triples and 37 RBIs...played travel baseball with the Locos Express...solid student who earned membership into the National Honor Society and earned Gold Scholar Athlete awards all four years of high school...active volunteer through NHS...parents are Josh and Laura Simmons.
