Biography

2023: Had a breakout season where he started 48 games, pairing his impressive power numbers with increased average and on-base percentage...earned honorable mention All-Midwest Region honors from the NCBWA as well as first-team All-G-MAC honors, both firsts in his career...hit .325 with 13 doubles and a team-leading 14 home runs, along with 37 RBIs and a .651 slugging percentage...especially strong in conference play, hitting .336 with 21 of his 27 extra base hits coming in 33 G-MAC contests...named the G-MAC North Division Player of the Week for April 24-May 1, hitting 15 of 27 across seven contests with five doubles, three home runs, six RBIs and six runs scored, including a 5 for 5 performance with a double and a home run against nationally ranked Wayne State on April 25...hit two home runs in the same inning in a 16-12 win on April 3...had 17 multiple-hit games in 2023, and an 11-game hitting streak...a big part of Hillsdale's plans offensively entering his senior year in 2024.

2022: Strong power hitter started 41 games in left field for the Chargers, hitting .266 and continuing to put up solid power numbers with five doubles, seven home runs and 32 RBIs...recorded nine multi-hit games, nine multi-RBI games and tied for the second-longest reached base streak on the team with 12...had four three-hit games, including a 3 for 5 performance against Davenport (Feb. 11) with a home run and three RBIs, and a 3 for 5 performance at McKendree (March 4) that also came with a home run and three RBIs...hit three of his seven home runs against the Bearcats from March 4-5, finishing with seven RBIs for the weekend...experienced veteran will be counted on in the lineup in 2023.

2021: Outfielder and designated hitter continued to impress at the plate in his first full season with the Chargers, appearing in 39 games and batting .302 with three doubles, three triples, 10 home runs, 29 RBIs and a team-leading .638 slugging percentage...earned third-team all-G-MAC honors after a red-hot closing stretch that saw him hit six home runs in the final five regular season games of the year...tied a G-MAC record with three home runs in a 14-4 win over Cedarville (May 1), and followed it up with two home runs in a 5-3 win over Findlay in his next outing (May 7)...hit a solo home run in Hillsdale's G-MAC Tournament contest against Tiffin (May 14).

2020: Immediately jumped into a major role for the Chargers as a freshman in the Covid-19 shortened season, starting 10 games...his .400 batting average was the third best on the team and the best among players with more than 20 plate appearances...tied for the team lead with two home runs and five doubles, and tied for second on the team with nine RBIs...posted a perfect fielding percentage in the outfield...had five multi-hit games, including three-hit performances against Davenport (March 7) and Wisconsin Parkside (March 11)...retains his freshman status due to the NCAA ruling on spring sports athletes affected by Covid-19 and has four years of eligibility remaining starting in 2021.

High School: Three-year varsity player and star outfielder for Detroit Catholic Central (MI), one of the top baseball programs in the rugged CHSL...helped lead the Shamrocks to a 2019 MHSAA Division 1 district title and regional final appearance in 2019...was a team captain with the Legacy Baseball Select -- Ford travel squad, posting a .395 batting average and .481 OBP...was a member of the National Honor Society in high school, a recipient of the Father Gabriel Richard Award and a Kairos Retreat Rector and Leader...earned 2nd and 3rd place awards in the United State Capital Congressional Art Competition...volunteered with Miracle League, Detroit Soup Kitchens and Food Pantries, and CYO Youth Basketball in high school...born Sept. 13, 2000...parents are Jim and Mary Hardenbergh.
