2021: Hillsdale's most-used reliever and top closer in 2021, with 12 appearances and 24 innings pitched...went 1-1 on the season with a 4.88 ERA and 20 strikeouts to 11 walks, earning saves in a team-best three contests...pitched 1.2 innings of scoreless relief with a strikeout to earn his first career save against Ohio Valley (March 1)...picked up the win in relief against Malone (March 27), striking out three in two innings of work...went 2.2 innings without giving up a run to earn a save in Hillsdale's 7-6 upset of Kentucky Wesleyan (April 17)...likely to see his role increase in 2022.
2020: Appeared in two games on the mound for the Chargers during the Covid-19-shortened season, with one start...recorded three strikeouts on the year in just 1.2 innings of work, and posted the team's fourth-best ERA...retains his freshman status due to the NCAA ruling on spring sports athletes affected by Covid-19 and has four years of eligibility remaining starting in 2021.
High School: Helped lead DeWitt High (MI) to back-to-back district titles and a MHSAA Division 2 state semifinal appearance...was 6-1 as team's ace in 2018, striking out 53 in 49 innings and posting a 2.00 ERA...was a major factor in his team's playoff run, throwing a no-hitter in the district final and a complete game shutout in the regional final...also led team to a district title in 2017, finishing with a 7-2 record, 46 strikeouts and 2.00 ERA in 46 innings...named first team All-Conference and to the Lansing State Journal All-Area Team for Division 2 as a junior...played travel baseball with the Capital City Kings and Michigan Rippers...named Academic All-State as a junior, was a member of the National Honor Society at DeWitt and a state qualifier for the Business Professionals of America...born March 29, 2001...parents are Glenn and Sarah Simon.
