Biography

2015: First-Team All-GLIAC outfielder who continued to make web-gem type of plays in center field for the third year in a row…Nearly doubled his career RBI total in 2015 alone, getting 25…Tied with Chris McDonald for the team lead in home runs with 5…Had 3 triples, giving him 7 for his career, ranking him in the college’s all-time top 10…Led team with .602 slugging percentage…Struck out just nine times in 123 at bats …Named to GLIAC All-Academic Team.

 

2014: Athletic and exciting centerfielder who started 49 of the team’s 50 games…Set the single-season school record with 183 at bats…His 15 stolen bases were tied for the 10th-most in a season in school history…Made a number of diving catches in the outfield and was a nominee for the Midwest Region Gold Glove Team…Batted .295 on the season and led the Chargers with 33 runs scored…Second on the team with three triples, second with 66 total bases and was tied for third with 18 walks…Began the season on a tear, notching at least one hit in 13 of the team’s first 14 games and had a .352 batting average in that stretch…Had 17 multi-hit games, and was 4-for-6 against Findlay April 18…Had five games with two or more stolen bases.

2013: Turned in one of the great freshman seasons in recent Charger baseball history in 2013…Started 43 of the team’s 45 games in center field…Made most of his at bats as the leadoff hitter in the lineup, and easily led the team with 29 hits when batting leadoff in an inning (.433 ba)…Led the Chargers with 20 walks and 13 stolen bases…Led all starters with a .390 on-base percentage…Had 20 more plate appearances (178) than any other player on the team…Had 12 multi-hit games, and two games of four hits each, against UMass-Lowell March 15 and Ashland April 7…Had a run of 18 hits in 10 games from March 15-27…Collected a season-high three RBI against eventual NCAA semifinalist Grand Valley State March 27.

High School: Won back-to-back state championships as part of a very successful Madison Heights Bishop Foley program in suburban Detroit…Belted nine home runs and batted .405 as a senior in 2012…Helped lead team to a two-year record of 80-7 in 2011 and 2012 combined…Named to the All-State Dream Team in 2012 and was an All-Catholic selection in his senior year…Also named All-League in 2011…Hit six home runs with a .330 batting average in his junior season…Also named All-Region and All-Catholic as a hockey player for the Ventures…Finished his high school career with an overall grade point average of 4.055 and earned the Best Character Award…Senior Class President and was a member of the student council…Played travel baseball for the South Oakland A’s…Born December 9, 1993…Parents are Dean and Anne.
