2023: Two-way player who carved out a significant role for himself as a power hitter in the lineup for the Chargers in the second half of the season, appearing in 28 games with 13 starts...hit .292 with four home runs and a .583 slugging percentage...had a huge game in Hillsdale's 12-8 win over Tiffin on April 2, going 3 for 5 with a double, two home runs and four RBIs...hit a grand slam in Hillsdale's 19-3 win over Lake Erie on April 18...also had a solo home run against Trevecca Nazarene on March 15...made six appearances as a pitcher, including a scoreless inning of relief against Davenport on Feb. 11 and another shutout inning against Lake Erie on April 15...will be a big part of team's offensive plans in 2024.
2022: Appeared in 13 games for the Chargers, nine as a pitcher and four as a position player...went 2-0 in relief with 10 strikeouts in 16.2 innings...earned victories in relief in a 21-6 win over McKendree (March 5), pitching 2.2 innings and giving up just one earned run, and at Findlay (March 14), pitching three innings of relief with three strikeouts and just one earned run in a 14-6 victory...hit his first career solo home run in a different game against Findlay on March 13, giving the Chargers a 3-1 lead in an eventual 8-6 loss.
2021: Pressed into action as both a position player and pitcher due to injuries and held up well for the Chargers in 2021...appeared in eight games for the Chargers as a relief pitcher, going 10 innings with nine strikeouts...also played in five games as a DH and first baseman for Hillsdale, earning his first career hit and RBI against Walsh on Apr. 2.
High School: Two-sport athlete at Livonia Stevenson (MI) who led the Spartans to an MHSAA Division I district title in 2019...a dominant pitcher for Stevenson, striking out 66 batters with an ERA of 1.79 in 50.2 innings of work as a junior, and adding three home runs and 34 RBIs on a .347 batting average at the plate...earned All-District and All-KLAA honors in 2019...also played basketball for the Spartans...played travel baseball for the Michigan Bulls...earned the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts, and also volunteered at his church throughout high school...born July 16, 2002...parents are Daniel and Jennifer Waligora.
