2023: Safety who got his first in-game action in 2023, playing in two contests and recording a career high two tackles while also forcing and recovering a fumble against Lake Erie on Oct. 28…named the team’s Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 9.

2022: Redshirted...will have four seasons of eligibility remaining entering the 2023 season.

High School: Three-sport athlete at MHSAA D1 football program Monroe in southeast Michigan...earned second-team All-SEC Red and second-team All-Region honors as a wide receiver and defensive back for the Trojans in 2021, finishing with 47 tackles, five pass breakups and three total touchdowns on the season...Also earned second-team All-SEC Red honors on the Monroe basketball team, and was a 400 meter run state qualifier and team captain for the Trojan track and field program...notable student that graduated from Monroe with honors and is a member of the National Honor Society...active volunteer in the community at athletic camps and in other capacities in Monroe...parents are Christopher and Cheryl McCarthy.
