Biography

2016: Emerged as the team’s starting tight end by the end of the season…Played in all 10 games, making eight catches for 89 yards…Hauled in a touchdown pass in the win at Northern Michigan Oct. 29…Had two catches for a season-high 43 yards against Ferris State Nov. 5.

2015: Big, versatile player who saw action in a variety of roles in all 11 games…Will compete to be the team’s starting tight end in 2016…Had one reception for 12 yards in the team’s win over Lake Erie Sept. 12.

2014: Has shifted between offensive line and tight end in his career, but is penciled in as a contender for playing time at tight end in 2015…Made one catch for 2 yards against Saginaw Valley State Nov. 1.

2013: Redshirted as a true freshman… Named the team’s Offensive Scout Team Player of the Week on Nov. 11.

High School: Went from quarterback to tight end for the Hornets of Highland High School and was twice named Second-Team All-Conference and once First-Team All-Conference…Had 14 receptions and two touchdowns as a senior…Also played basketball for four years…Part of the school’s Peer Leading Program from 2010-12 and was on the Student of the Month Committee form 2012-13…Selected as the most outstanding peer leader…Born July 17, 1994…Parents are Rex and Anita.
