Biography

2024: Seized a starting role on the offensive line at midseason and excelled down the stretch, helping Hillsdale to a 6-2 record in games he played in...should be a key veteran presence for the Chargers up front in 2025.

2023: Top substitute for the Chargers on the offensive line, appearing in nine of 11 games in different roles up front, including three starts at guard in place of injured starters…will compete for a starting job in 2024.

2022: Worked his way onto the field as a reserve offensive lineman, appearing in six games for the Chargers...will be a primary backup and continuing to grow his role in 2023.

2021: Redshirted in 2021...will have four seasons of eligibility beginning in 2022.

High School: Linchpin of the offensive line for a Madison Heights Lamphere (MI) team that snapped a two-year playoff drought and reached an MHSAA Division 4 district title game with an 8-1 record in 2020...four year starter for the Rams in the trenches that helped Lamphere to two MAC Bronze Division titles during his time in high school, earning second-team All-State and first-team All-MAC honors his senior year...two-sport athlete who was a two-time state qualifier in wrestling and finished eighth in Division 2 at heavyweight his senior year...earned Academic All-State honors all four years of high school, was a member of the National Honor Society, and graduated Magna Cum Laude...volunteered at local food banks and as a tutor throughout high school...Parents are William and Samantha Collins.
