High School: Offensive line prospect with significant Hillsdale ties who played both ways for Jenison High School in the Ottawa-Kent Conference Red Division, the largest enrollment division of the premier football conference in Western Michigan...two-year varsity letterwinner on the offensive and defensive lines for the Wildcats, and also a four-year varsity wrestler at Jenison and a team captain in both football and wrestling...graduated Summa Cum Laude from Jenison and is an active volunteer with Camp Sunshine, a summer camp for special needs children in Western Michigan...following in the footsteps of his older brothers Matt, who played at Hillsdale from 2011 to 2015, and John, who is a current member of the Chargers football team...parents are Earl and Patricia VanOpstall.
