High School: roke out as a senior defensive lineman on a Rockford team that’s one of the top programs on the west side of the state of Michigan…helped lead the Rams to an undefeated regular season, OK Red title and MHSAA Division 1 district title as a senior captain in 2023, earning first-team All-OK Red honors, MLive Grand Rapids Dream Team honors, and multiple team awards while putting up 49 tackles and five sacks…Two-sport athlete who also competed in the throws for the Rockford track and field team…member of the Rockford National Honor Society and involved in Rockford High School’s broadcasting program, helping the school win the Michigan Association of Broadcasters’ “Station of the Year” for three straight years…active volunteer through his church…parents are Mark and Beth Herrema.
