High School: Starting defensive back and two-sport star for Waseca High School (MN)...helped the Bluejays qualify for the playoffs for three straight seasons, making the semifinals in the 4A Division in 2018 and winning 3A sectional titles in both 2019 and 2020...part of Waseca boys basketball teams that won the 2021 Class 2A state title in Minnesota, and finished runner-up in the state in 3A in in 2019...earned All-Section honors as a defensive back as a senior, with 16 tackles, three interceptions and six pass breakups, and was one of 16 players to be named to the 2020 3A Academic All-State football team...received the MHSHL Triple-A Award for excellence in Academics, Arts and Athletics and was named the Exchange Club Student of the Year...was a member of the Minnesota Honor Society and graduated Summa Cum Laude...on the Roundbank Jr. Board, a group of student leaders chosen to help organize volunteer projects within the community...Parents are Daryn and Michon Spies.
