2015: Transitioned from linebacker to defensive lineman, and did plenty of damage from his new position…Led team with 14 tackles-for-loss and had a team-best 7.5 sacks…Racked up 45 total tackles in his 11 starts, while breaking up three passes and registering one quarterback hurry…Had 3.5 tackles-for-loss against Ohio Dominican Oct. 10 and 2.5 sacks in that game…Had a sack in six different games…Tied season-high with eight total tackles in shutout win at Saginaw Valley State Oct. 31…Named the team’s defensive player of the week Nov. 2… Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team.

2014: Big-play linebacker who saw his season end early due to injury…Will move from linebacker to defensive end in 2015, when he is expected to be fully recovered…Had 13 total tackles and 2.5 tackles-for-loss in his two games last season… Member of the GLIAC All-Academic Team.

2013: Improved his play throughout the season in practice and saw playing time in the season’s final three games…Expected to compete for playing time at linebacker while being counted on to contribute heavily on special teams…Named to GLIAC All-Academic Team.

2012: Redshirted as a true freshman…Named the team’s Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week Sept. 22.

High School: Hard-hitting linebacker at Vicksburg High School, where he racked up 149 tackles, 22 tackles –for-loss and five sacks as a senior in 2011…Named honorable mention All-State, All-Region and All-Conference as a senior…Set the school single-season record for tackles in 2011 and was named team MVP…Had 79 tackles and 19 tackles-for-loss as a junior in 2010…Also earned three varsity letters in track and helped lead the Bulldogs to the 2010 state championship…His track team was conference and regional champions three times…Member of the National Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes…Named to the honor roll four times…Grandfather Les Mallery played football at Hillsdale College from 1964-67…Born May 9, 1994…Parents are Jim and Stephanie.
