High School: Standout defensive lineman for Northland Pines High School in Eagle River Wisconsin…played three years on the varsity, finishing his career with 123 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and two sacks…was named team defensive MVP and to the All-Region team as a senior, and was the Eagles’ most valuable lineman in both 2018 and 2019…also lettered in track and field at Northland Pines and was named Most Valuable Thrower as a junior…made 2019 Wisconsin Academic All-State team and was high honor roll every semester of high school…parents are Gary and Jane Van Wormer.
