Biography

2018: Earned First-Team All-Conference honors in his second season as the Chargers’ starting placekicker…Booted two 51-yard field goals during the season, both coming in key wins – Oct. 6 at Findlay and Nov. 17 at Kutztown in the NCAA playoffs…Those were the first 50-plus yard field goals made by a Charger kicker since 2002…Scored 87 total points, with 13 made field goals and 48 made extra points…Named the G-MAC Special Teams Player of the Week Oct. 8 and Nov. 5…Named one of the team’s One Play Warriors……Named the team’s special teams player of the week on Sept. 24, Oct. 8, Oct. 29, Nov. 5 and Nov. 19.

2016: Redshirted as a true freshman.

High School: A consistent kicker from Hillsdale High School, he made 45 of 46 extra point attempts and 4 of 6 field goals in his senior season…He holds the school record for most extra points and most field goals in a season…He earned All-State recognition his senior year and was awarded first-team All-Conference for three years…He also played soccer, basketball, and golf for Hillsdale High School…Earned first-team All-conference honors three times for soccer and twice for golf…He graduated in the top ten of his class and received the MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award…He was a member of the National Honor Society and was named the Hillsdale Rotary Student of the Year…Born August 28, 1997…Parents are Al and Dianne Philipp.
