2023: Battled through injuries to emerge as an important contributor for the Chargers, playing in nine games on the defensive line…had a career high four tackles, including his first sack, on Sept. 23 against Findlay…should be a key part of Hillsdale’s line rotation in 2024.

2022: Opening Day starter that saw a promising season cut short with a season-ending injury early in Hillsdale's third game of the year against Truman St. (Sept. 17)...expected to make a healthy return and be a big contributor in 2023.

2021: Redshirted in 2021...twice named Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week for the weeks of Sept. 4 and the bowl game week of Dec. 4...will have four seasons of eligibility beginning in 2022.

High School: Standout defensive end for a Grand Haven (MI) squad that snapped a seven-year playoff drought with an MHSAA Division 1 playoff berth in 2019...was named to the Division 1 first-team by the Detroit Free Press, and honorable mention All-State by MLive as a senior, totaling 54 tackles, six sacks and eight tackles for loss...two-time OK Red All-Conference, All-Muskegon Chronicle Dream Team and All-Region in high school...two sport athlete also helped the Grand Haven basketball team win a district title, earning first-team All-OK Red honors, All-Muskegon Chronicle Dream Team honors, and BCAM Outstanding Student-Athlete honors...earned Academic All-State honors in both football and basketball, and was a member of the National Honor Society...earned Grand Haven's Distinguished Academic Leader award...active as a volunteer through his church...parents are Mark and Andrea VanBeek.
