Biography

2023: Played in two games for the Chargers in 2024, getting his first two collegiate carries against Kentucky Wesleyan on Oct. 14.

2022: Did not see game action...earned Hillsdale Offensive Scout Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 11-17.

2021: Redshirted in 2021...will have four seasons of eligibility beginning in 2022.

High School: Played on MHSAA State Championship teams in 2019 and 2020 for Grand Rapids Catholic Central (MI), stepping into a starring role as a senior in 2020...averaged 8.6 yards per carry as a senior and rushed for 192 yards and a touchdown in the Cougars' 48-21 win over Frankenmuth in the 2020 MHSAA Division V state title game...finished his high school career with 2,215 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns...won the Ted Sowle Award in 2020 as GRCC's top senior male athlete, as well as the Lew Clingman Award...graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of the National Honor Society...family has a long history of playing college football -- grandfather Dale Hollern played at Michigan State University, his father, Ted at Central Michigan, and his brothers Ted at Valparaiso and Nate at Hillsdale as a defensive back from 2013-14...parents are Ted and Maribeth Hollern.
