Biography

2024: Appeared in two games for the Chargers, completing his first collegiate pass for four yards and rushing for 20 yards on the ground against Findlay on Sept. 28.

2023: Made his first collegiate appearance against Lake Erie on Oct. 28.

2022: Redshirted...will have four seasons of eligibility remaining entering the 2023 season.

High School: Three-year starter at quarterback who led Lake Fenton (MI) to the program's first Flint Metro League -- Stars Division title and its first winning record since 2017 in 2021...team captain who earned All-Flint Metro League and All-State honors as a senior...led the Blue Devils to back-to-back seasons with a playoff win at the MHSAA D4 level for the first time since a three-year stretch from 2013-2015...also played basketball for a Lake Fenton team that went 15-7 and reached the MHSAA D2 District final round in 2022...solid student earned academic all-state honors and became a member of the National Honor Society...served as a youth football camp coach in his hometown...parents are Shaun and Jennifer Shumaker.
