2023: Recovered from a midseason injury that saw him miss two games to start nine contests and play a major role as the Chargers’ strong safety…recorded a career-high seven tackles in Hillsdale’s road game at Michigan Tech on Sept. 9…awarded the Big Stick award by his team for his play against Ashland on Sept. 16…should play a major role for the Hillsdale defense in 2024.

2022: Saw his first significant action on special teams and as a reserve defensive player, appearing in seven games and recording 11 tackles...finished with a career-high four tackles in Hillsdale's game against Michigan Tech (Nov. 5)...played in Hillsdale's final six games after appearing in just one of its first five, a sign of his increased role with the team as the season wore on.

2021: Redshirted in 2021...will have four seasons of eligibility beginning in 2022...named the Chargers' Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week for the Missouri S&T game (Sept. 25).

High School: Talented two-way player helped lead Kingsley (MI) to its first MHSAA semifinal appearance in 14 years as a junior in 2019, falling to eventual state champion Grand Rapids Catholic Central 28-14 at the Division 5 level...during his time at Kingsley, the Stags made three straight district final appearances for the first time in program history...earned third-team All-State honors, Traverse City Record-Eagle Dream Team honors and first-team All-NMFL honors in 2020 playing as a tight end and outside linebacker for the Stags, and also was the team's Most Improved Player in 20219...three-sport athlete also was a member of a Kingsley track and field team that finished third in the state in Division 3 in 2019, and was named Most Improved Player as a member of the Stags' boys basketball team in 2018...made the honor roll every semester at Kingsley and was elected to the National Honor Society...twice earned the Kingsley High School Citizenship award, and was named the Kiwanis Traverse City Student of the Month...won the U.S. Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award...parents are Robert and Kimberly Whims.
