High School: Offensive line prospect with college-ready size and a strong pedigree from nearby Reading High School, just eight minutes southwest of the Hillsdale College campus...three-time All-Big Eight player who earned All-State honors as a senior offensive lineman, as well as All-Region honors as both a junior and senior...helped lead Reading to four straight MHSAA D8 playoff appearances and played on Reading's 2019 MHSAA D8 state championship team as a freshman...also a strong basketball player for the Rangers who earned All-Big 8 honors as a senior...class valedictorian at Reading, National Honor Society member and Get To Foundation scholarship recipient...active volunteer with Crossroads Farm and June's Place, as well as through his local church...strong family ties to Hillsdale College as his father, Brad, was the GLIAC Offensive Lineman of the Year in 1996 while playing for the Chargers, and his mother, Darcy, also played volleyball at Hillsdale...has two older brothers, Ben and Nick Affholter, who are currently playing for Hillsdale College as offensive linemen as well.
