2023: Big man in the middle of the line for the Chargers defense whose strong play made a hue impact…had two tackles for loss and a sack in a Sept. 16 game at Ashland…won the Every Player Every Play award twice, for recording six tackles and his first career interception in the Sept. 30 win over Northwood, and for recording 1.5 tackles for loss at Tiffin on Oct. 7…finished second on the team in tackles for loss with 6.5 on the season, and tied for second in sacks…named to the One Play Warrior Club for his performance on special teams in 2023…veteran leader who will be relied upon by the Chargers in 2024.
2022: Stepped into starting defensive tackle role and excelled, finishing with career highs across the board...started all 11 games, finishing with 27 tackles, 2.5 for loss...finished with a career-high in tackles in back-to-back weeks, with six each against Walsh (Sept. 10) and Truman St. (Sept. 17)...earned the Big Stick award for his performance in Hillsdale's road win over Missouri S&T on Sept. 24...will be a big part of Hillsdale's defensive unit in 2023.
2021: Made an impact as a part of Hillsdale's second defensive line unit, appearing in 10 games and recording a career high in tackles (12)...set a new career high in tackles in a 31-12 win over Kentucky Wesleyan (Nov. 6), then tied it in the America's Crossroads Bowl game against Truman St. (Dec. 4)...expected to contend for a bigger role in 2022.
2020-21: Talented true freshman found his way into the defensive line rotation early in the spring 2021 season, appearing in all four games...recorded a career-high two solo tackles and his first career sack in Hillsdale's road win over Walsh (Apr. 10).
High School: Team captain and two-year starter at tight end and on the defensive line for Traverse City West High School in Michigan...helped lead the Titans to back-to-back playoff appearances as well as a Big North Conference title in 2018…finished with 93 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, four sacks and three blocked field goals in his high school career…named to the All-Big North team both his junior and senior year, and earned honorable mention all-state honors as a senior…member of the National Honor Society and earned academic all-state honors as a senior as well…parents are Michael and Dolly Tokie.
