Biography
2023-24: Stepped into a major role for Hillsdale on the wing, starting all 28 games and setting career highs in virtually every statistic...second on the team in scoring, rebounding and assists while shooting 35% from 3-point range and 49.8% from the floor...20 double-digit scoring games, including four games of 20 or more points...set a career-high in scoring with 26 points in Hillsdale's home win over Lake Erie on Dec. 1...scored 22 points with 10 rebounds and a career-high four made 3-pointers in Hillsdale's home win over Northwood on Jan. 25...had a 20-point, 12 rebound double-double in Hillsdale's Nov. 17 win over U of M-Dearborn...18 multi-assist games, including back-to-back six assist outings against Grace Christian on Dec. 30 and Thomas More on Jan. 4...earned 2024 CSC Academic All-District honors and made the NABC Honors Court for the second-straight year for his performance in the classroom...earned Hillsdale's President's Scholar-Athlete Award for the 2023-24 school year.
2022-23: A breakout player for Hillsdale, becoming the Chargers' most important substitute off the bench and finishing fifth on the team in scoring...broke out with a 17-point performance on 7 for 8 shooting in Hillsdale's Nov. 13 win at Saginaw Valley...had the best weekend of his career in early December, scoring a career-high 18 points in Hillsdale's 72-60 road win at Cedarville on Dec. 1 and following it up with a 13 point efforts at home against Trevecca Nazarene on Dec. 3...posted a career high seven rebounds in Hillsdale's 77-36 win at Trevecca on Jan. 21, and matched that mark in a Jan. 26 home win over Cedarville...finished the season with six double-digit scoring games...hyper-efficient from the floor, shooting 56.3%, as well as 50% from 3-point range and 78.3% from the line...named to the 2023 CSC Academic All-District team for his achievements on the classroom and in the court...a big part of Hillsdale's plans for the 2023-24 season.
2021-22: Appeared in 28 games for the Chargers as part of Hillsdale's bench rotation....got his first extended playing time against Northwood (Dec. 20), scoring a career-high nine points on 4-of-4 shooting from the floor in the 69-55 victory...willing rebounder from the wing position with multiple multi-rebound games in limited minutes.
2020-21: Appeared in nine games for the Chargers in his first season without burning a year of college eligibility thanks to the NCAA's Covid-19 waiver...scored his first collegiate points on Dec. 17 at Ohio Valley, and also scored against Lake Erie (Jan. 28) and in Hillsdale's G-MAC tournament game against Trevecca Nazarene (March 2).
High School: Was a three-year starter at Otsego High School in his hometown of Otsego, Michigan, leading the Bulldogs to a 63-4 record and three straight Wolverine Conference titles during his time on the varsity...averaged 23.7 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals per game as a senior, earning Kalamazoo Gazette Player of the Year honors and leading Otsego to a 21-1 record, a ninth-overall ranking in Division 2 in Michigan and a district final appearance before the Covid-19 pandemic ended the season early...was named First-Team All-State in Division 2 as both a junior and senior, made the All-Wolverine Conference team and All-Kalamazoo Gazette Dream Team three straight years, and was named Team MVP all three years...played AAU Basketball with the Michigan Basketball Academy and the Grand Rapids Storm...was on the Honor Roll at Otsego every trimester of high school and graduated with a 4.0 GPA...refereed and coached youth basketball as a volunteer in his spare time, helped set up local Gus Macker 3 on 3 basketball tournament, volunteered for the Otsego Blood Drive, and was a member of the Leaders in Training volunteer group at Otsego High...parents are William and Cherie Woodhams, and he has an older brother, Bill.
