Results

A pair of reliable and familiar faces led the way for the Hillsdale College men's cross country team at its first competitive meet Friday afternoon.

2012 All-American Joshua Mirth was the Chargers' top runner at the Spartan Invitational, held Friday afternoon at Michigan State University. Mirth led the team and placed 13th overall in the non-Division I school division of the meet, with a time of 25:08.

Not far behind Mirth was junior Luke Hickman, another fixture in the team's lineup, who took 15th with a time of 25:18. They were the only two Hillsdale College runners to place in the race's top 35 overall.

The other top finishers for the Chargers were junior Matthew Perkins (37th, 25:43), junior John Butler (43rd, 25:47) and freshman Luke Daigneault (58th, 26:11).
