With the G-MAC Championship meet just around the corner, the Hillsdale College men's cross country team is making its final preparations.
The Chargers sent a small squad to the Wayne State Warrior Challenge on Saturday at Willow Metropark in New Boston, Michigan, as part of the team's last tune-up before big meets to come.
Hillsdale's squad of five placed seventh in the Warrior Challenge, led by freshman
Oliver Garber, who took 32nd in 26:36.7 to pace the Chargers pack. Junior
Zach Self was close behind in 26:48.8 and 40th place, and senior
Noah Gazmin took 51st in 27:13.7 as well.
Daniel Johnson placed 74th in 28:01.9 for the Chargers and freshman
Brendan O'Donohue crossed the finish line right behind Johnson in 28:02.4 and 75th place.
Hillsdale travels to Tiffin, Ohio for the G-MAC Championship meet on Nov. 7, held at Hedges-Boyer Park. The men will race for the title at 10:30 a.m. and the women will run at 11:30 a.m. The Charger placed fifth at the meet in 2025 and will look to improve on that finish against a strong conference field in two weeks.
