10th-Ranked Men's Cross Country Finishes Strong at Louisville

Results

The Hillsdale College men's cross country team has zoomed up the national rankings in recent weeks. Saturday morning, the Chargers showed why their lofty ranking is deserved.

Hillsdale took seventh out of 33 competing teams at the Greater Louisville Classic, with 280 team points. The Chargers placed three runners in the top 50 overall in a meet filled with elite Division I programs.

Anthony Wondaal kept pace with the top runners at the meet, finishing 15th overall with a time of 24:21.04. Captain Joseph Newcomb was 36th, at 24:46.96, while Caleb Gatchell took 48th overall with a time of 24:56.45.

Freshman Joseph Humes was the team's number four runner with a time of 25:07.07, while Luke Daigneault was fifth on the team completing the race in 25:47.39.

The Chargers will compete at home Friday afternoon at the Michigan Intercollegiates, held at Hayden Park.
