Men's Cross Country Finishes 1st at Michigan Intercollegiate Championships

Results

The Hillsdale College men's cross country team competed at home in the Michigan Intercollegiate Championship meet Friday afternoon. The Chargers finished first with 20 points over Wayne State, Spring Arbor and Mott Community College.

Junior Anthony Wondaal won the race with a time of 26:16.2 and senior Joseph Newcomb followed behind for a second-place finish with a time of 26:23.2. Senior Caleb Gatchell took fourth with a time of 26:41.9.

Junior Luke Daigneault ran a 27:17.6 for a seventh-place finish. He was followed by sophomore Miles Garn (27:21.8), junior Nathan Jones (27:24.1), junior Sam Phillips (27:30.5), and freshman Eric Poth (27:33.0).

Freshman Charles Holbrook finished with a time of 28:14.2 and freshman Henry Brink ran a 28:31.4.
