Charger Men's Tennis Wins 3rd Straight

Box Score

The Hillsdale College men's tennis team is now on a three-game winning streak after Friday's 7-2 home win over Spring Arbor University at the Margot V. Biermann Athletic Center.

The final score was deceptive. Hillsdale didn't lose a match in any flight, but were only able to field five healthy players. The Cougars won the No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles matches by default.

Sophomore Gianpiero Placidi played a perfect match at No. 2 singles, winning 6-0, 6-0. He also teamed up with sophomore Dugan Delp for an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles.

Delp won for the third straight time in singles, this time in the No. 1 flight, by a score of 6-2, 6-0.

John Ciraci and Zach Rabitoy each won their singles matches in straight sets, and teamed up for an 8-2 victory at No. 2 doubles.

Freshman Jerry Hewitt was a 6-3, 6-0 winner at No. 5 singles for the Chargers.
